Social Media Is Not a Tactic, But a Way of Life — Right Now

I encourage anyone trying to get your head around Social Media to read The Now Revolution. The book, by Jay Baer and Amber Naslund, debuted last month and literally becomes both your rationale for why to dive into Social Media and your playbook of how to do so.

The writers aren’t just theorizing.  They both have been up to their eyeballs in Social Media since its inception.  So they both know first hand how Social Media has changed business.  They also practice what they preach, including the incorporation of tags in their book, providing readers with even more information.

My favorite chapter is Shift 4, Answer the New Telephone.  It stresses what Social Media does for consumers -it demands brands listen to them.  The door has closed on one-way communication.  And, of course, consumers “expect companies to answer them.”  Right now. Is your brand ready to respond?
